Glen Moray 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from a distillery on the River Lossie in Elgin, where whisky has been distilled since 1897.
It is matured mainly in ex-bourbon barrels, which give it a light, approachable character.
On the nose there is soft vanilla, honey and toffee over apple and pear, with a little citrus and gentle floral notes. The palate is smooth and mellow, with creamy malt, caramel, subtle oak and mild cinnamon and pepper. The finish is clean and medium-short, with sweet malt, vanilla and light oak, and a faint trace of chocolate.
