Glen Moray Port Cask is a Speyside single malt from the distillery on the banks of the River Lossie in Elgin, where whisky has been distilled since 1897.
The port cask influence shows on the palate, with raisins and freshly picked red berries.
Creamy vanilla leads the nose, alongside jammy redcurrants, blackberry and toasted oak. The palate brings butterscotch, golden barley and a little cinnamon, before a fairly long finish of honey, vanilla and a dusting of cocoa.
