This is a 12 year old single malt from Glen Ord, a single cask bottling in The Mey Selections Rare Cask Release from Goldfinch Whisky Merchants. The series was launched to showcase the Scottish Highlands. It is bottled at 51% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with white grapes and aromatic spices, then warm butterscotch. On the palate, prunes and vanilla come with malted barley and linseed oil. A touch of light spice leads into a smooth, lingering finish.
