This is an eight-year-old Glen Ord single malt from Hart Brothers, matured in a first sherry butt and bottled at 58.1% in a 70cl bottle. The sherry cask has given a young, powerful Glen Ord with pronounced flavours.
The nose combines green and dark red fruit with hazelnut and espresso coffee, along with light earthy tones and hints of Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate there is rich mulled wine, blackberries, blueberries, butterscotch and fudge, bold yet refined. The finish is sweet espresso with Cabernet Sauvignon and blueberry bitters.
