A 10 year old unpeated Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, made for the 2021 Campbeltown Malts Festival and bottled at 56.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit was distilled between 2009 and 2011 and matured in first fill bourbon barrels. These were vatted together and finished for five months in first fill Bordeaux red wine casks from the Medoc, before the whisky was married in refill bourbon barrels.
The nose brings crushed red berries, rose, violet and heather honey, with a maritime breeze. Honeyed sweetness, strawberry, apple, lime and toasted oak follow, ending long with cinnamon and aniseed.
