Glen Scotia – 12 Year Old Tawny Port Cask Finish Icons of Campbeltown Release No.3 (70cl, 51.7%)

Glen Scotia 12 Year Old Tawny Port Cask Finish is the third release in the Icons of Campbeltown series, also known as The Wulver, after a figure from Scottish legend associated with generosity. It is a limited edition in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent twelve years in bourbon casks, then a further nine months in tawny port casks. It is bottled at a batch strength of 51.7%, without chill-filtration and without added colour. The nose is floral and fresh with a coastal edge and red berries. The palate brings ripe forest berries, red fruit and dark chocolate. The finish is long and warm, with spicy oak, dark fruit and a maritime note.
