A 24 year old Glen Scotia single malt from Campbeltown, distilled in 2000 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It comes from a single American oak hogshead that held bourbon, and it yielded 216 bottles at 55.7% ABV.
The nose combines bright lemon, fresh hay and vanilla pod, with green apple, jasmine and charred oak. On the palate, sweet custard gives way to nectarine and passion fruit, then tangerine peel, lime and pineapple. The finish is medium-bodied, with lingering tropical fruit and mint.
