Glen Scotia Festival Edition 2024 is a 9 year old unpeated single malt, a limited annual release made for the Campbeltown Malts Festival. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56.2% ABV, non-chill filtered, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in Fino sherry casks, which give a dry, coastal sherry character rather than the heavier sweetness of Oloroso.
On the palate it shows bright lemon citrus, green apple, white orchard fruit and malt sweetness, with almond, light salinity and oak spice. The finish is long, clean and gently drying, with lingering citrus and maritime notes.
