Glen Scotia – Victoriana Single Malt Scotch Whisky (54.2%)

Glen Scotia Victoriana is a cask strength Campbeltown single malt, bottled at 54.2% ABV and made as a modern take on the region's Victorian style. It matured in first-fill and second-fill bourbon casks, then was finished for up to 12 months in heavily charred bourbon casks and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The casks were then married together for a further six months. The nose is crème brûlée and melted sugar, with caramelised fruit, sweet puddings and oak. The palate is rich and oily, with blackcurrant jam, thick molasses, cloves and caramel, and a little smoke from the charred casks. The finish is long, with dark chocolate, cocoa, dark fruit and lingering spicy warmth.
