GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 8 is a single malt bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.2%, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The batch marries whisky from Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry puncheons with a small quantity from virgin oak and Rioja casks, giving a deep mahogany colour.
The nose brings mocha, nutmeg, walnut oil, heather honey, sweet raisins and dried red berries. On the palate come cinnamon, molasses and honeycomb, then ginger, espresso and dark chocolate, with nutmeg and fennel on the finish.
