A ten-year-old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, finished in a Ruby Port hogshead and part of the Wood Collection. This edition was selected for Europe and is bottled at 48%, in natural colour and not chill-filtered.
The port finish adds pronounced wild berry notes to the distillery's heather honey character.
On the nose are orange peel, apricot and crystallised red berries, with ginger, heather honey and rich dark chocolate. The palate offers raspberry coulis, crystallised honeycomb and red berry ice, followed by cinnamon, candied cherries and mocha.
