This is an 11 year old GlenAllachie single malt from the distillery's Wood Finish range, bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in American oak barrels for over nine years, then moved to Pedro Ximénez puncheons for the final few years, which adds layers of sweet fruit and rich oak.
The nose offers dark chocolate, banoffee pie, candied pineapple and aromatic wood spice. The palate brings baking spice with floral honey, dark burnt sugar, plump sultanas, nutmeg and orange zest. The finish has a whiff of vanilla alongside boozy dried tropical fruit, raisins and sweet, malty oak.
