GlenAllachie 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is the core expression of the range Billy Walker began releasing after he bought the distillery in 2017.
The whisky is aged in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, with virgin oak and red wine barriques in support. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour, and each cask is chosen by hand.
The nose offers sticky toffee, warm cinnamon, crushed walnuts and aged oak. The palate is full-bodied, with butterscotch, dark fruit, spiced cocoa and roasted coffee. The finish is long, with dried figs and nutmeg.
