GlenAllachie 12 Years is a Speyside single malt bottled exclusively for Europe. It matured for over eight years in ex-bourbon casks of American oak, then spent more than 42 months in Moscatel casks that previously held an aromatic Portuguese dessert wine.
It was bottled at 48% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration.
The nose has orange blossom, heather honey, citrus, grapefruit, butterscotch and toffee. Dark chocolate, grape must and plum jam appear on the palate, with orchard fruits, cinnamon and honeycomb, and ginger and butterscotch in the finish.
