A 12-year-old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, bottled at 48%. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky spent its first ten years in American oak casks before moving into Ruby Port pipes. The second maturation gives it a deep ruby colour and added depth of flavour. It belongs to the GlenAllachie Wood Finish series, overseen by master distiller Billy Walker.
The nose is of heather honey, grape must, syrup, banana and ginger. On the palate, heather honey, toffee, plum and grape must are joined by orange peel and ginger.
