GlenAllachie 8 Years is an eight-year-old single malt from the GlenAllachie distillery in Speyside, put together by Billy Walker to complement the distillery's core range.
It is matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, with a small share of new oak casks and red wine barriques.
The nose is spiced fruit bread with sweet cinnamon, a little ginger and juicy raisins, while nutty malt balances floral honey. The palate brings dark muscovado sugar, sultanas and dates dusted with baking spice. The finish offers maple syrup, toasted almonds, a touch of menthol, earthy coffee and cocoa.
