An 11 year old Highland single malt from Glencadam, bottled by the SMWS as cask 82.47, Jazz Custard. It comes from a single first fill bourbon barrel and was bottled at 62.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The barrel yielded 221 bottles.
The nose is described as overripe banana, pear and marzipan with honeysuckle, cherry blossom and lavender, then lemon sponge with creamy custard. On the palate vanilla meets glacé cherries, fudge, sugared almonds, wasabi and lemon sherbet, with thick custard, dried apple and tangerine later. The finish is dry yet lively, with the spice of mace.
