This is an 11 year old Glencadam, a Highland single malt distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 82.48, named The Big Yellow Marshmallow. It comes from a single first fill ex-bourbon barrel, bottled at 62.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle, one of 230. The nose is floral, with roses, lavender and carnations beside strawberry jelly, vanilla sponge cake and white chocolate. The palate opens with a prickle of wasabi and pickled ginger, then quince jelly, hazelnut fruitcake and shortbread. The finish brings choux buns and fresh pine wood. With water, lemon, orange and kiwi appear, followed by honey, toffee and coconut cream.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
