Reserva de Porto Branco is a 15 year old Glencadam single malt Scotch whisky that has spent a finishing period in white Port casks. The finish adds sweet, subtly floral and drying elements. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
White Port finishes are less common than Tawny or Ruby Port. The nose brings red berry fruits, Victoria sponge, acacia honey and stewed rhubarb, with rose water and violet. The palate is juicy strawberry and redcurrant jelly with key lime pie, and the finish is a long wood spice linger.
