Glencadam American Oak Reserve is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV, part of the Origin 1825 range.
It is matured exclusively in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, selected by the distillery's Master Distiller and sourced in Kentucky. The barrels add vanilla-rich, softly fruity and gently spicy notes to a creamy spirit.
The nose offers sweet vanilla pod, buttercream, orchard fruits, golden raisin and a hint of Turkish delight. The palate has poached pear, apple blossom, acacia honey, roast chestnut, mocha and lemon rind, and the finish ends in a peppery cake spice.
