Amarone wine cask finish
A Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Glencadam, finished in Amarone wine casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The master distiller made it in small batches, selecting malt matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks from the distillery's dunnage warehouses, then marrying it in Amarone casks sourced from Italy. It is natural colour and not chill-filtered. The nose is sweet, with cherry jam, marzipan, fruit nougat and pistachio bound with baking spices. The palate brings red fruits, crystallised ginger and strawberry liquorice with oak spices, candied peels and cacao. The finish layers cappuccino, dark chocolate, Morello cherry and raspberry jam, with a warming wood spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
