GlenDronach – 10 Year Old 2009 Single Cask 2091 (61.9%)

This is a single cask GlenDronach Highland single malt, distilled on 14 December 2009 and bottled in 2020 after ten years in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon. It was released as part of Batch 18 and is limited to 692 bottles, at a cask strength of 61.9% ABV. The colour is copper gold. The nose has candied orange, dark fruitcake, hazelnut and raisin, finished with marzipan and ginger. On the palate there is fruitcake filled with toasted raisins, orange peel and almond, moving into gingerbread and ground nutmeg. The finish is long and warming, with ginger biscuits and mandarin segments.
