GlenDronach – 11 Year Old 2008 Single Cask 648 (61%)

This is a single cask GlenDronach, distilled on 10 December 2008 and bottled in 2020 after 11 years in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon. Cask 648 was part of Batch 18 of the distillery's single cask releases and gave 682 bottles. It is bottled at a cask strength of 61%, without chill filtering and in natural colour. The colour is polished brass. The nose has mocha chocolate and clotted cream with figs, dates, candied grapes and apricots. The palate is sweet and fruity, with plums, apricots, bramble jam and candied ginger. The finish is long and warming, fading to a gentle sweetness.
