GlenDronach 27 Years Old 1992 Single Cask 5897 is a single malt distilled on 28 September 1992 and bottled in 2020 at 48% ABV. It matured for 27 years in a Port pipe, cask number 5897, and was released as part of GlenDronach's Batch 18 single cask releases. The outturn was 853 bottles.
The colour is a deep chestnut brown. The nose offers Victoria plums, dates and blackberry preserve, with waxed orange, rose honey and ginger-spiced dark chocolate. Sultana and walnut cake leads the palate, touched with lemon, ginger and nutmeg. The finish is long, with dark chocolate and orange giving way to oak and cocoa.
