GlenDronach 28 Year Old 1993 Single Cask 2458 is a single malt distilled on 16 July 1993 and bottled in 2021. It spent 28 years in an Oloroso sherry puncheon and is bottled at a cask strength of 55.2% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring. It forms part of Batch 19 of the distillery's single cask releases, with 688 bottles. The whisky has a deep burgundy colour.
The nose combines fine chocolate with dates, plums and raisins, spiced walnuts and warm toasted oak. The palate is full and rich, with dark chocolate, mulled wine and blackcurrants, then walnuts, coffee and raisins. The finish is long, as nut and coffee flavours fade into a warm, spicy aftertaste.
