This is a 28 year old Glendronach from a single Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon, cask 1769, bottled at a cask strength of 55.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is a Highland single malt, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings dark chocolate, espresso and dried fruits, with spiced oak, treacle and caramelised nuts. On the palate come sherry-soaked figs, roasted coffee beans and old leather. The finish is long and warming, with cinnamon, dark cherries and toasted oak.
