GlenDronach – 28 Year Old Grandeur Batch 11 (48.9%)

GlenDronach Grandeur 28 Year Old Batch 11 is the eleventh release in the Grandeur series of single malts. It was matured in a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons and butts, described as some of the distillery's oldest and most unusual sherry casks, and bottled at 48.9%. Around 2,000 numbered bottles were released. The colour is ruby-nut, with a strong sherry aroma set against dark manuka honey, roasted almonds and nuts. On the palate come rich fruit, black cherries and espresso, followed by chocolate, liquorice and nuts in the finish.
