A single cask GlenDronach distilled on 18 June 1993 and bottled in 2021 after 28 years in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon. It comes from Batch 19 of the distillery's single cask releases, with 672 bottles filled from cask 6865.
It is bottled at cask strength, 52.8% ABV, and is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The whisky has a deep walnut-brown colour.
The nose shows black grape, raisin and cherry, moving to dark chocolate, orange and sultanas. On the palate come ripe plums and black cherries wrapped in dark chocolate, with a lingering hint of black truffle. The finish is long, the fruit and chocolate fading into a gentle spiciness.
