GlenDronach – Cask Strength (70cl, 59.4%)

This is a cask strength single malt from GlenDronach, bottled at 59.4% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was built in 1826. From 1920 to 1969 it belonged to a son of William Grant, owner of Glenfiddich, before Wm Teacher & Sons took it over. It was sold several times from 1976 and was closed for a spell. Billy Walker of BenRiach now leads it. Production remains traditional, with barley from the surrounding land, wooden washbacks and pot stills that are in part still fired with wood.
