Ode To The Dark is a GlenDronach single malt from the new Masters Anthology series, bottled at 50.8% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, chosen as the best of their kind.
The nose is rich with sherry character: dried figs, dates and raisins, chocolate, black cherries, coffee and ginger. The palate is oily, with a pleasant tingle of spice and pepper, and flavours of espresso, balsamic, dried orange, cocoa and caramel. The finish is medium in length, with plums, nuts and chocolate.
