Ode To The Dark is a limited-edition Highland single malt from GlenDronach, part of the distillery's Master's Anthology Series. It is matured exclusively in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and bottled at 50.8% ABV, non-chill-filtered, in a 70cl bottle.
GlenDronach was founded in 1826 and was mothballed in the 1990s.
The nose is described as mocha, black cherry and dark chocolate, giving way to creme brulee, raisin and warm ginger. On the palate are espresso, creme caramel, black grape and mint chocolate ganache. The finish is warming and spiced, with lingering sweetness, raisined oak and a touch of bitter cocoa.
