GlenDronach Ode to the Embers is a peated single malt from The Masters Anthology series, bottled at 48.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The nose mixes crème brûlée, toffee, gentle peat smoke, sourdough, caramelised nuts and milk chocolate. The palate combines sweet and vegetal notes, with menthol, ashes, chocolate, hay, orange and nuts. The finish is medium in length, with smoke, wood and spice to the fore.
