Ode to the Embers is a Glendronach special release, a peated single malt matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. It is bottled at 48.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines cinnamon-spiced toffee, apple and caramelised walnut brittle with flamed orange, all set against a smouldering open fire. On the palate, raisin and honeyed walnut meld with bramble ganache and smoked chocolate fudge.
