GlenDronach Ode To The Embers Peated is a lightly peated Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 48.4% ABV. It belongs to the Master's Anthology series, which pays tribute to the sherry cask maturation GlenDronach is known for. Master Blender Dr Rachel Barrie created the three bottlings in the series.
This one recalls the days when peat fired the malting kilns. It was matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, pairing smoke with spice.
The nose offers spiced fudge, candied nuts and a touch of jam with gentle smoke. The finish brings dark berries, liquorice and cocoa.
