Glendronach Ode To The Embers is a Highland single malt, bottled at 48.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Oloroso sherry is the cask influence behind this expression. Glendronach was founded in 1826 by James Allardice at Dronachburn in the Valley of Forgue, north-east of Huntly in Aberdeenshire. For a long time the distillery used almost only Oloroso sherry casks for maturation, and that still shapes its style today.
