GlenDronach – Ode to the Valley Sherry & Port Cask (70cl, 46.2%)

This single malt from GlenDronach is a tribute to the countryside and surroundings of the Highlands. It matured in a combination of Portuguese port casks and the sherry casks the distillery is known for, and is bottled at 46.2% ABV without added colour. The whisky has a bronze-copper colour, with sweet, floral notes and a hint of ripe summer berries. The tasting notes give a fruity nose of late-summer berries, with dulce de leche chocolate and apricot glaze. On the palate come blackberries, roasted apple crumble, gingerbread and sweet plums.
