Glendronach – Sherry Cask Matured 12 Year Old (43%)

This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Glendronach, a distillery founded in 1826 in the north-east of Scotland. It matures entirely in Spanish sherry casks, using only Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso. Pedro Ximénez brings sweetness and dark fruit, while Oloroso adds depth, spice and a nutty character. Together they give a dense, creamy texture. It is bottled at 43% with natural colour, a deep mahogany, and without chill-filtration.
