Glenfarclas – 105 16 Year Old Cask Strength (60%)

Glenfarclas 105 16 Year Old is a cask strength Speyside single malt, bottled at 60%, or 105 degrees British proof. It is a limited edition made from casks selected by distillery manager Callum Fraser and chief executive Douglas Belford. The 105 dates from 1968, when chairman George S. Grant chose a cask at natural strength and bottled it as a Christmas gift for family and friends. The whisky proved so popular that Glenfarclas continued to bottle at 105 proof. Rich copper in colour, it has a nose of soft butterscotch, vanilla essence and bold spice. The palate brings stewed berry fruits, melted butter toffee and freshly baked almond biscuits.
