Glenfarclas – 17 Years Old Single Cask

This is a 17 year old Glenfarclas bottled from a single cask, chosen specifically for this release. The sherry influence runs through the whisky and is described as carefully balanced, with a fuller body than the distillery's standard 17 year old. Glenfarclas is one of the few Scottish distilleries still in family ownership. It stands by the River Spey and was founded in 1836. The tasting notes mention golden fruits, nut cake, light baking spices and gentle malty tones. The finish is long and persistent, with a round, mild sherry character.
