Glenfarclas – 190 Anniversary Trilogy (70cl, 51.4%)

This is a Glenfarclas single malt marking the distillery's 190th anniversary, in a 70cl bottle at 51.4% ABV. It completes the Anniversary Trilogy and is limited to 15,000 bottles worldwide. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The whisky combines 78 hand-picked casks from five decades, the 1970s to the 2000s, with a 2014 cask added. All of it matured in Oloroso sherry casks. The casks were chosen by distillery manager Callum A. Fraser together with managing director Douglas Belford. The nose has green apple and sweet sherry with Christmas cake spice. The palate moves from fruit through rich sherry to toffee caramel, and the finish is long with dark chocolate and fresh tobacco.
