Glenfarclas – 1966/1997 The Spirit of Independence (70cl, 46%)

This is a 1966 vintage Glenfarclas single malt from The Spirit of Independence range, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured for more than thirty years, until March 1997, and 1,200 bottles were produced. Glenfarclas is a Speyside distillery that uses direct-fired stills and is known for single malts matured in Jerez sherry casks. It also helped popularise cask strength whisky, introducing its 105 proof expressions in 1968.
