Glenfarclas – 1985 Family Cask Summer 2023 (70cl, 42.5%)

This Glenfarclas Family Cask was distilled in 1985 and released in summer 2023. The Speyside single malt is bottled at 42.5% ABV and sold in a 70cl bottle. Glenfarclas has belonged to the Grant family since John Grant bought it in 1865, nearly three decades after Robert Hay founded it in 1836. The family has long supplemented the standard range with single casks and special bottlings. Oloroso sherry casks are the main type used at the distillery, and they account for the particular aromas people associate with Glenfarclas.
