This is a 1996 Glenfarclas single malt, bottled as edition number 26 of The Famous Scots series. The edition is named after Rob Roy MacGregor, the Scottish clan chief born in 1671. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured only in selected sherry casks, and the label names oloroso. Glenfarclas is a Speyside distillery that has been owned by the Grant family since 1865. The bottling is limited to 1,800 bottles and carries the typical Glenfarclas sherry aromas.
