A Glenfarclas single malt from Speyside, from the Family Cask range and marked 2004, in the Summer 2023 release. It is bottled at 54.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay and bought by John Grant in 1865. It is still owned by the Grant family, who regularly issue single casks and special bottlings next to the standard bottlings.
Oloroso sherry casks are the main type used at Glenfarclas, and they give its whisky its distinctive aromas.
