This is a Glenfarclas single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2006 and issued as a Family Cask release in summer 2024. It is bottled at 61.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Glenfarclas was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay and bought by John Grant in 1865. It remains in the hands of the Grant family, who regularly offer single casks and special bottlings alongside the standard range. The distillery mainly uses Oloroso sherry casks, and they give its whisky much of its aroma and flavour.
