Glenfarclas 25 Year Old is a sherry-matured single malt from one of the few Scottish distilleries still in family ownership. The water used in distilling comes from a small spring in the Ben Rinnes hills, and its softness, together with the distinctive shape of the stills, contributes to the Glenfarclas style.
It is dark amber in colour. The nose offers sweet smoke, orange marmalade, honey, fresh-ground coffee, sherry and nuts over aged wood. The palate is full-bodied, and the finish is long, dry, malty and nutty, with a little smoke and dark chocolate.
