Glenfarclas – 40 Year Old

Glenfarclas 40 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky that has matured for forty years. It has a deep gold colour. On the nose there is the impression of an old leather armchair, with walnuts and chocolate-covered raisins. The palate opens sweet, with orange segments dipped in liquid chocolate and burnt brown sugar at the back of the mouth. The finish is dry, with firm tannins and dark cocoa. A little time in the glass, or a drop or two of water, helps the whisky open up.
