This is a single cask Glenglassaugh, a 40-year-old Highland single malt distilled in 1973 and bottled by the distillery in 2014. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 52.1% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration, and belongs to the first batch of Rare Cask releases. Billy Walker selected the cask, shortly after Benriach Distillery Co. had bought Glenglassaugh the year before. The whisky was finished in a single Manzanilla sherry puncheon, and cask 6801 yielded 497 bottles at natural strength.
