Glenglassaugh 12 Year is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 45% ABV. The distillery was established in 1875 at Portsoy on the Banffshire coast.
The whisky is matured for twelve years in a mix of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and ex-red wine casks, in warehouses overlooking Sandend Bay.
The nose brings sea air, apricot, peach, vanilla and honey. The palate is soft and lightly saline, with creme brulee, salted toffee and blackberry. The finish is medium to long, with meringue, dried fruit and a little cherry.
