This is a 40 year old Glenglassaugh from the Highlands, released as Batch 1 of the Rare Cask Release. It was distilled on 5 December 1973 and bottled in February 2014 at 52.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was finished in a Manzanilla sherry puncheon, and the cask produced 497 bottles.
Glenglassaugh has belonged to the BenRiach Distillery Co., which also owns Glendronach, since 2013.
